Krystal Johnson

Co-Founder | Chief Executive Officer

Chief Operating Officer

With extensive experience spanning executive operations, organizational leadership, marketing, strategic growth, workforce development, and nonprofit, health & wellness, and education-based programs, Krystal brings both a systems-minded perspective and a deeply people-centered approach to every organization she serves.

Throughout her career, Krystal has led complex programs and operations across Arizona, supported multi-location organizations, guided teams through periods of growth and transition, and helped strengthen the systems that allow people and organizations to succeed. Her experience includes overseeing federally and state-funded initiatives, developing performance dashboards, improving compliance and accountability, strengthening internal processes, creating operational playbooks and standard operating procedures, transforming company culture, and leading marketing, brand, and partnership strategies.

Krystal is especially passionate about stepping into complex environments, identifying what may be holding an organization back, and creating practical solutions that bring clarity, structure, and forward momentum. She believes sustainable growth is not built through strategy alone - it requires strong systems, aligned leadership, clear expectations, meaningful data, and people who have the support and capacity to do their best work.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business with an emphasis in Marketing and brings together the disciplines of operations, strategy, communications, leadership, and organizational development. This multidisciplinary experience allows her to see both the larger vision and the details required to bring that vision to life.

At the heart of Krystal’s leadership philosophy is the belief that people are not separate from the systems in which they work. Experience and data consistently show that how people feel, what they are carrying, and the capacity available to them directly influence how they communicate, lead, collaborate, and perform. For this reason, she is committed to promoting personal development, mental health, and whole-person wellness—both within Nuvéra and in the organizations the firm is blessed to serve.

Krystal’s work is grounded in faith, honesty, transparency, kindness, and responsible stewardship. She believes consulting should be more than offering recommendations; it should equip leaders and teams with practical tools, greater confidence, and lasting capabilities they can continue using long after an engagement concludes.

Outside of Nuvéra, Krystal treasures quality time with her husband and their four children, whose ages range from 19 years to one year old. She enjoys traveling, serving and participating in her church, giving back to the community, and creating meaningful experiences with the people she loves. These parts of her life continually reinforce what she brings to her work: empathy, resilience, perspective, and a genuine desire to help others build businesses and lives that are healthy, purposeful, and positioned to grow.
